Alain Viesca Dragons

We had the pleasure of meeting the artist at the Phoenix ComiCon 2010, and again at DragonCon in Atlanta September 2010. His artwork is detailed, shows elements of hyper-realism, imagination, and he even personalized the purchase. His prices were fair, and after framing of this print with a double mat, and chrome-like frame, the piece is very striking and a favorite among many other dragons.

This dragon was custom drawn on the spot for us by “Spike” of Templar Comics at the 2010 ComicCon held at Phoenix Convention Center. She displayed her talent and ability to quickly and artistically draw a dragon with character. How would you describe the character of the dragon above?

Mischievous, clever, and ready to pounce might be some of the descriptions one might use to  describe him or her.

Spike’s Dragon and Templar Arizona Comics

Spike has created an entire comic storyline around a character named “Spike”, who could be her alter-ego. Spike in the comics is a semi-masculine above the waist, skin baring young blonde male with an attitude.

We noticed how difficult it was to find any comic series done on Dragons!

Who knows, maybe someday Spike will do a comic series on her Dragon!

Scott Shehi graciously honored our request to draw a dragon for us on the spot.  We found artists like this were ready to please, and as such, we cannot say enough about their ability to share talent and good feelings. While we donated to their jars sitting on most counters, we found the attention quite refreshing and genuine.

Dragon by Scott Shehi and Tribe Comics

Scott’s dragon shows a large mouth with long teeth, pointed dragon horns pinned back with elderly appearing short beard and whiskers, piercing eyes that have such character and determination. It’s amazing that a drawing can create a being with such life and story.
